Wanted: Volunteer Tin Forest Guides

The Tin Forest is one of the National Theatre of Scotland’s biggest and most ambitious projects to date, and part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme.

We’re looking to recruit a team of friendly volunteers to help us welcome audiences from across Glasgow, across Scotland and across the world.

We need Tin Forest Guides to help with Front of House and Ushering duties at:

The Tin Forest Glasgow community events: three pop-up theatre shows created by the people of Glasgow over the course of the last six months – performances at:
o Springburn: week commencing 9th June 2014
o East End: week commencing 16th June 2014
o Hillington: week commencing 23rd June 2014

The Tin Forest Opening Event: a one-off outdoor live music and spoken word celebration
o The South Rotunda on the Clydeside: Tue 22 July 2014

The Tin Forest: the National Theatre of Scotland’s theatrical production
o The South Rotunda: Thu 24 July – Sun 3 August 2014

What we need from you:
• To be aged 18+
• To let us know which of the above events you’re interested in volunteering for
• To be available for at least three performances

What we offer in return:
• 2 free tickets for one of the Glasgow community events
• 2 free tickets for The Tin Forest at the South Rotunda
• The Tin Forest limited edition t-shirt
• Health and Safety training
• The opportunity to become part of a huge National Theatre of Scotland project, at unique venues across the city, as Glasgow prepares to welcome the world.
