Make a manifesto for change with Dear Glasgow
A fast-paced evening of discussion, debate, plan-hatching and song takes place in the magically transformed South Rotunda this Thursday at 7.30pm.
Your hosts for the evening are The Tin Forest director Graham McLaren and writer- director-performer Kieran Hurley (Rantin’, Beats, Chalk Farm). They’ll be asking you as we ask you to reimagine the place where you live.
What are your hopes, dreams and frustrations? How could we make it better? Education? Free bikes? Free bouncy castles? Four day working week? You tell us.
A team of tablet-wielding scribes will be collecting key discussion points as we go, pinging them onto our huge video wall and out over the interweb. Our house band will stimulate your thinking muscles with live music and, over the course of the evening, will write a brand new song inspired by your ideas. Our bartenders will do their bit too, to get the creative thinking juices flowing.
You don’t need to be a “specialist” to take part – this is an event for everyone and anyone. By the end of the evening, we hope to have something like a draft dream manifesto for the place where we live, written by all of us…
